Holy bananas. That was amazing.
Okay, super quick recap of our time before heading to the falls. We landed, we got to the hotel, we went into town for an entirely unsatisfying meal. We had drinks on our balcony back at the hotel. We had breakfast (they had cupcakes at breakfast!) and we got picked up by our driver. We had an awesome day.
Our delightful time in Buenos Aires has continued!
One of our favourite things to do in a city is take a food tour - and we were especially excited for our Buenos Aires food tour since it was going to be through San Telmo, an area known for its market and excellent restaurants. With our food tour not getting under way until late morning, we took our time getting down to the starting point, enjoying a leisurely breakfast and popping into some shops on the walk down to San Telmo.
“Direct” flights out of Pearson at midnight that actually stop in Brazil suck.
We’re off and if you can’t tell, it started with a really late flight. I think there was only one flight after us before whatever curfew Pearson has kicked in. Because Argentina is so big, we’re flying between our locations and since we didn’t want to deal with checking bags for so many flights (not to mention risking that they don’t make it on the plane…), we’re doing this trip with just carry-ons.
Fall travel time is coming a bit later this year because we’re headed to Argentina!
After much mulling and pondering, we decided on November as the perfect time to spend 2 weeks in Argentina. Because the country is so big, we can’t do even half of what we wanted to so we’ve already agreed to go back in 2 or 3 years. This time around, we’re sticking to the northern areas - and even then, we’re only hitting some of the really big highlights.
